The wood that is used in our furniture comes primarily from salvaged logs from Oregon; Western Walnut from the Willamette Valley, White Oak and Oregon Ash from Chris’ hometown of Roseburg and Myrtle from the southern Oregon coast. The construction of our furniture directly relates to the use of solid wood. Solid wood continues to move from season to season. Most furniture today, is constructed of a thin veneer and the “wood” is reduced to artifice. With solid wood, the assembly must allow movement so as not to damage the piece. The finish for the furniture is Tung oil which is non-toxic and can be easily re-applied with a cloth rather than requiring the entire piece to be re-finished. ![]() |
